Cecilie Bahnsen Gives PORTER a Dreamy Makeover
In honor of Yoshida & Co.’s 90th anniversary this year.
PORTER, the Japanese bag label by Yoshida & Co., is celebrating its 90th birthday — and it’s doing so in the most romantic way. Teaming up with Copenhagen-based designer Cecilie Bahnsen, the brand unveiled a three-piece capsule that brings Bahnsen’s signature soft femininity to PORTER’s famously functional aesthetic.
The result is a collection of bags that feature delicate floral appliquĂ©s that mix with rugged nylon. The lineup includes a backpack, a compact “Bonsac” and our personal favorite — the tool bag. It’s got both a crossbody and handle strap (versatility, check) plus two front pockets for that perfectly balanced utility-chic vibe. The bags come in three dreamy shades: sleek black, earthy khaki and a cloud-like baby blue.
“This is a romantic act,” Bahnsen said of the collaboration. “It’s about sorting through memories while deciding what to keep and what to reconstruct.” And it shows. Every detail of the collection balances sentimentality with strength, embracing PORTER’s legacy while nudging it into a softer, more expressive future.
The Cecilie Bahnsen x PORTER collection is available for purchase on Yoshida and Co.‘s official website from June 5. Click the gallery to get a glimpse at the bags.
